Sandy – I’m home

Back home and the op went well. I’m trying to walk more every day as the doctor said I should do so – even if it hurts. It does and I hate taking painkillers unless it’s really necessary.

I’m writing about it on the blog if you want the details

  1. That’s a girl! Well done, and I’ve heard it is a good idea to keep walking, if only for blood circulation!
Glad to know everything went well!

Oh, Sandy, impressed you could blog about it in such an even manner. Reading the details of the less-than-clear hospital messages you were given led me to admire how you could hold onto that bed pan for the “next one.” Wonder if I’d be that clear in a similar situation.

Yes, I hate painkillers too–side effects seem not a good trade-off for the results. Good that you’re walking but don’t overdo!

Thanks Claude and Naomi. I was very pleased with my walking at first but yesterday I overdid it and my leg was exptremely painful last night. Looks as though I’ll have to learn when enough is enough.

HURRAH for you! I’m so glad it is done and all is well. Take it easy, though – little by little is good! Hang in there! xo

  5. Wishing you a speedy recovery Sandy! It’s amazing how surgery will take the energy out of you. It’s almost like you’re learning to walk again, but it’s much faster than the first time 🙂 Best wishes to you.
