Sandy – 16th-31st October.

Is it really two weeks since I posted? Apologies all round.

I was hoping to build up the steps to 3000 plus each day but wasn’t entirely successful.

16th-22nd

Thursday: 4265;  Friday: 3110, Saturday: 3024, Sunday: lunch with friends

Monday: 3807, Tuesday: 2966, Wednesday: 3864.

23rd – 31st

Thursday: 2847 and some gardening. Friday: 1039 (slipped over on catsick!)

Saturday: 2014, Sunday: 1287, Monday: 2586, Tuesday: 3967, Wednesday forgot to wear pedometer!) Thursday: 3813,  and Friday: 2790

Progress is still slow but digging up weeds was very satisfying even if I suffered for it afterwards.

Oh but you’re very close to your goal — and made it more than half of those days, so pretty good!
Slow progress IS progress and probably the best kind of progress actually…hurrah, Sandy!

Thanks Sara. I’m resigned to the fact that I’m not going to be able to do the same as everyone else for quite some time but so long as there’s a little improvement that’s good news.

I agree with Sara that the best type of progress is slow. Gardening might not get your heart rate up, but it is probably the most satisfying type of work, don’t you think?

Exactly, Lia, I was really pleased to see a weedfree border at last but there’s still lots to do and I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to gardening in bad weather so the weeds tend to get left.

  3. Very close to your goal indeed, Sandy. Just hang on there. This is just wonderful! I’m so happy you’ve started recording your steps and your average certainly IS 3,000 steps a day.
Don’t let’s compare our steps, it doesn’t make sense. Each of us does as much as she can!
    Have a lovely week!

    Thank you Claude.
Sadly I haven’t been wearing the pedometer this week but have probably done more walking with my friends.

Sandy, your new report made my day. It’s so good to see how you’re keeping on keeping on (as they say).
Of course, I’d like to think that you’ve known we were here and supporting you–and it made a difference.

As an aside, am intrigued by your italicized responses to comments because I always wonder what’s the best way to have the back and forth stuff work. (Hope that made sense!)

You are quite right, Naomi, it does help to have a group of friends lending support.
